I'm A Big Girl Now

I’m a Big Girl now and ready to ride

A cowgirl of sorts high energy inside

My horse is white and loves me so

He will take me on trails high and low

I know I can ride Mom taught me well

I feel the excitement in me swell

I’m a big girl now I shout an yell

I tried so hard to mount my horse

But I think he grew to my remorse

Maybe tomorrow I’ll be bigger then

With determination I’ll try again

Tomorrow will come to my pleasant surprise

I know for a fact I’ll ride waving goodbyes

Little Girl Dreams

Between the planes of consciousness

There lies a place so sweet

Where chocolate bars grow thick on trees

And children never weep

Where dreams come true most every day

And skies are always blue

Donald Duck, he lives next door

With his friend, Winnie The Pooh

No need for rules or traffic cops

No jails, no doctors shots

No illness ever crossed this land

No child has ‘ere got spots

Moms and Dads are always near

And gentle is their touch

They always wear their happy face

And boy! this means so much

The weather never turns too cold,

Nor does the sun burn hot

Instead each day is perfect here

A perfect picnic spot

I'm An Angel Now

One night I cried to Jesus as I sat beneath the trees.

I looked into the open sky and hoped He'd answer me.

I'm lost dear Lord. I've traveled far but still I seam to roam.

Please light the way and lead me, Lord. I need to get back home.

I told him of my burdens and of the sadness in my heart-

That from His gracious love I'd never felt so far apart.

Why did you take my child, Lord? I cannot understand!

No longer can I touch her face or hold her tiny hand.

I'm angry, Lord. I'm missing her. I'm drowning in my sorrow.

Please help to heal my yesterdays and face each new tomorrow.

It was then I heard her gentle voice and I felt her presence near.

How I wanted so to hold her as I cried another tear.

She said, "Mommy, "I 'm an angel now, my spirit will be free.

I'm an angel now in heaven, so please don't cry for me.

I was chosen by our Lord above and now I'm in his care.

When you need me, look inside your heart. I promise to be there.

No one can ever take away our bond with one another

For I'll always be your precious child, as you will be my mother.

So if you cannot find your way or the road to home seems so far,

Just look up into the Heavens and I'll be you guiding star."

She said, "Mommy, I'm an angel now, my spirit will be free.

I'm an angel now in Heaven, no need to cry for me."

Christmas Elf

I know an elf that spreads goodwillDown every road she roamsShe has many tasks to fulfillBefore Santa greets homesWith toys to build and dolls to dressYou’d think this elf would mournBut, aiding in Santa’s successIs why this elf was born.

You see, she’s not a normal elfThe kind with funny shoesShe took the time to prove herselfShe, slowly, paid her duesNow, she is found among the ranksOf Santa’s very bestAn elf that owes a debt of thanksTo those who helped her quest.

She never thought she’d be around The rare and chosen fewWho make the bells and whistles soundFor a child’s dream come trueBut, she works hard, both day and nightIn shifts throughout the yearHer purpose is to spread delightThrough love and Christmas cheer.

I know a very humble elfWhose heart is made of goldShe never thinks of just herselfAnd gives to young and oldShe does not ever strive to beAn elf of high accordFilling a child’s heart with gleeIs her greatest reward.
